Secret Facebook Groups



Secret Facebook Groups are among the hidden gems of the platform that many companies do not understand about. A Secret group is a simple for companies to develop and manage small group interactions in a totally private setting.

Anybody with a Facebook account is able to establish and utilize a Trick Group. This is not special or offered via Organisation Pages, but is a fantastic resource specifically for small companies that don't use tools like Salesforce, Yammer, or BaseCamp for callaboration, coordinating schedules, and sharing marketing ideas.

There are 3 kinds of Secret Groups:

  • Public: anybody can see your Group and discover it in search

  • Closed: anybody can see your group, but only members can see and make posts

  • Secret: just members can see and make posts



Trick Group Security.

  • Secret Groups are not indexed by Google.

  • If somebody has the URL to your Trick Group they can not access without being invited.

  • If your Secret Group URL is published in another Trick Group, the URL is still not visible or available.


Note: You will get notifications to your personal News Feed, but just you will have the ability to see them, not your Good friends.

Developing a Trick Group.

You should initially have an individual Facebook account to produce a Secret Group:.

  • Go to http://facebook.com/groups.

  • Click on Produce Group.

  • Call your Group and select your icon from the fall menu.

  • Add members to your Trick Group (you need to be pals with them to include to the group); add them to the member box.

  • If you wish to include members who are not your buddies, create the Group as 'Closed' first, then alter the Group setting to Secret.

  • Select your Privacy Setting and click Create.


Below are screen shots for each step in producing your Group.

Remember your Group MUST be Closed if you are going to include members you are not good friends with.

Select your Trick Group icon (this is optional).

Remember to switch your Group Setting from 'Closed" to "Secret" if you have invited members that you are not friends with in the previous step.

Before you begin using your brand-new Trick Group we would recommend that you check your Settings. The Settings icon is situated on the right side of your brand-new feed under the images.

Your Secret Group is now all set for private usage with your members. Start sharing pictures, e-mail addresses, and teaming up on projects.
