I have just learned that my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law are coming for dinner tomorrow night. Along with my adorable nephew and my new niece who I’ll be meeting for the first time, which is great, but I thought I’d have more notice. Must go clean everything. And frame photos. Do you think I can keep them from looking in the linen closet? My linen closet is a mess. And I think we’re out of toilet cleaner. Yikes!

You sound like ME when company comes in!
hahaah, you also sound exactly like ME when company (read family) is coming. Normal company, meh, they can deal with the mess.
My mom and dad are coming this weekend. This makes me freak out too, I tend to move things and clean, even though I KNOW mom will NOT move furniture to see if there is dust behind it LOL
I freak over the in-laws coming too. In fact I freak over MY family whent hey come. I'm so good when it comes to guests.

I hate it when that happens. I'm sure they won't be looking in the closet. You'll be alright. Take some deep breaths. Plus, bleach works as a substitute for bowl cleaner.
