Don't worry...

...I haven't fallen in to the great Frederick sinkhole:

I've been just a wee bit busy is all, and it is making me less creative than usual. Perhaps even less intelligent than usual. This morning I was so off kilter that I left the house without my purse, drove to the gas station, and then realized I had no money. Luckily, the house is fairly close to the gas station. I had my gym bag and my lunch bag and my radar detector, but no purse. Kind of an annoying way to start my day.

What's the dumbest thing you've ever left behind at the house in the morning?

I left the daycare several weeks ago to take Jace (3) to the doctor for the 3rd time that week. He had an allergic reaction blah blah blah. I ran around the daycare issuing orders and asking if anyone needed anything, blah blah blah. I finally decided it was time to get moving. Got in my truck, put it in reverse, back out of parking spot and..................no Jace. I had forgot to retrieve him from his class. OOPS!

True Story - it is called "I have one too many things on my plate right now, please don't bother me with minor details."

A few years ago a sinkhole opened up on Rt. 31 out by New Windsor in the middle of the night. One poor fellow drove right into it and he died of injuries because there's so little traffic on that road at night. he wasn't found for hours. Maryland seems "safe", compared to California or Florida- but we have car eating chasms!

I leave my work badge at home on a semi-regular basis. Usually I realize it right as I'm getting on the freeway so I only lose about 15 minutes in the turnaround. However, today I made it all the way to my office (about a 25-30 min drive) before I realized my mistake. I then decided it was a "work from home" day.
